The model 9600 door has a steel front and back face, with foamed-in insulation in the center, providing an R-value of 11. Model 9100 doors have a durable steel front face with Toughgard backing and foamed-in insulation and provide an R-value of 9.

TorqueMaster ® Counterbalance
TorqueMaster is Wayne-Dalton's exclusive counterbalance system that safely and cleanly contains the springs inside a steel tube. The TorqueMaster design helps prevent injury that could result from the accidental release of tension.
Having the springs contained in the metal tube is more attractive than exposed springs and prevents the collection of dirt and grime.
TorqueMaster ® Plus is an option available for some doors that features an anti-drop safety device. If a spring should happen to break while the door is in the up position, the anti-drop device will stop the door from going into a free fall.

Pinch-resistant door panels
The Wayne-Dalton pinch-resistant garage door design is engineered to help eliminate injuries caused when fingers are caught in door panel joints during downward operation of the door. This is an important feature to Wayne-Dalton doors, as there can be injuries associated with standard garage door operation.

Polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation
All Model 9100 doors come with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation that has an R-Value of 9*, giving excellent insulating ability to control energy costs.
All Model 9600 doors come with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation and steel backing that has an R-Value of 11*, for even greater insulation and energy-efficiency.

Bottom weather seal
In addition to insulation, our doors have a bottom weather seal. The bottom weather seal blocks drafts and helps save energy. It remains flexible even in extreme cold to keep the bad weather outside.

Lifetime Limited Warranty
Wayne-Dalton warrants your model 9100/9600 Door for as long as you own it against cracking or splitting due to rust-through and against degradation of the foam insulation. Your track and TorqueMaster ® counterbalance are warranted against defects in workmanship or materials.
